Vitherm awarded another glycol welded heat exchanger set – gas dehydration unit on the North Sea for a customer based in UK
Gas dehydration units are designed for removing the water from the natural gas. The lean glycol (TEG) solution, which is to be fed in the column, is cooled down with the rich TEG exiting the column.
Vitherm’s Weldpack® has shown to be the best available technology on the market for this application. This is the tenth project for which Vitherm supplied its Weldpack®. The two main reasons the client chose Vitherm’s equipment, is the stronger mechanical design of the column and plate pack, avoiding any leakage at the corners. The fully robotized plant also enables very competitive delivery times, since very low manual work is needed in the production of this equipment. The delivery of this unit is expected to be June 2016.
